    It's been a year without a journal update, perhaps it's time.  I've got a new job now, which has me designing, creating, and illustrating; which is great, but it could mean less energy gets funneled in here.  Though looking at the six month gap in submissions, I don't think it could get much worse.     On the flip side, I bought myself a new tablet.  The old one was the cheapest one available, I had it for years, and I wore that thing down to the point where the pen fell apart.  It had already paid for itself several times over, so it's earned its retirement.  I upgraded to a 6x8 wireless model with battery-free (and hopefully more dura

I'm a *, for a little while.  My thanks to MrMushroomMan (https://www.deviantart.com/mrmushroomman) for the subscription; I entered his contest for traditional floral art and nabbed third prize.      You know, I should really use this for something other than excuses as to why I'm not posting.       So I've signed up for a course at the local art school, a once-a-week thing that fits in with my full-time job.  I've never done the 'art student' thing, I was always more of a science student that snuck into the art studios.  Anyway the class will be on botanical illustration, and I'll be putting up the results here, because really, who else would I inflict that on?  So, new images here starting in the last two weeks of June, if not earlier.     As for more HP stuff, I've got nothing planned right now, but just wait until July 21st.
